Where’s my Joey “I Wanna Go” gif? There it is.
The past two years when we haven’t been doing a “full” Dragon Con I’ve been totally fine with it up until it’s upon me. I’ve been totally fine with not being there today. Up until today. Now I’m not ok! Especially since I’m sitting at work. 1.5 hours down, 6.5 left to go…. ugh. I don’t know if it’s really good or really bad that I’m really busy today actually. Really good maybe it’ll make the day go by quickly… really bad because my brain IS NOT here and I feel super scattered.
Yesterday Chase went to the post office in the morning to pick up MY WIG!!!!
He brought it to me at my office but I didn’t want to open it there… I wanted to record it for my instagram story and that would be awkward at work LOL. So I kept it on my desk all day and it was driving me crazy. THEN I had to go get my hair cut/dyed so I got home 3 hours later than normal on top of that (took an hour to get home, traffic was terrible.)
My hair looks good tho.
So got home and got it open….
It’s freaking amazing!
Of course I had to run go put it on right away. My head is so tiny that I have never had a wig that actually fits my head. It’s SO WEIRD (in a good way). I really needed to get my hair braided down a little flatter on my head for it to fit perfect — and I need to watch my hair at the nape of my neck.

Honestly I feel spoiled. I don’t know how I can go back to normal wigs! LOL. It is just SO SO SO nice. And it’s hardy. Like, I don’t feel like I’m going to tug it apart just from normal handling (like I do with my own wigs I’ve done).
Before I won this, I was already thinking of getting a regular ANH Leia wig from them. Now I think I really do want to, save up and do it maybe late next year, into 2019? Since I’m remaking the whole costume anyway?

Honestly I really wasn’t all that excited about doing this costume. I had so much trouble with the dyeing and then wasn’t happy with the underdress…. but now I’m stoked to wear it. Can’t wait to get my ring later this year too.
And because of that, I decided what the heck. I’m going to go ahead and make the earrings. I was going to wait til I had the ring… and also because I’m lazy and I hate wearing earrings with any costume. So Chase helped me cut the shape out of worbla last night and tonight I’m going to finish them off. Yay.

That right there on the cart is most of everything. The garment bags are still hanging right now but I’ll be able to lay them over the top. Then I’ll have my wig box, and a cooler. That’s not bad for 9 costumes.

That’s it. Tonight is finishing up the earrings and finishing my packing (I want to repack my duffel bag, and I need to go through stuff like phone cords, chargers, etc).
